The Role

Abbeyfield Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated specialist Early Years teaching assistant who can support a high quality, safe learning experience for our Nursery children.

The trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. All those who work within the Trust, including Trust Directors and Trustees, put the safeguarding of pupils as our highest priority to ensure that all children are free to learn without worry or fear or harm.


All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. The DBS check will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and bind-overs as well as pending prosecutions, which are not “protected” under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. We will use the DBS check to ensure we comply with the Children Disqualification Regulations.


In line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, candidates are advised that online searches will be conducted for all those shortlisted.
